The left buck is a 13 point buck that came by on opening morning of the 2010 season and bumped into a .54 caliber roundball launched from my English game gun.
The buck on the right is a perfect 10 point with about a 20 inch spread. Miraculously, I took him from the exact same ground blind the next time I went out 7 days later. Another one shot .54 caliber roundball buck for the wall. My lock flashed the pan the first shot, I re-primed and it fired the 2nd time I dropped the flint...close call!! I was calm as a cucumber getting that shot fired...well maybe NOT!!
You can see the variety of fish and turtles in these pictures. There are variations in the coloration of the carp, but this carp is definitely a color aberration. I've lived on King's river for at least 20 years and have never seen a fish like it before. I saw a catfish prowling around in the deeper part earlier in the year that I estimated at about 10 lbs.. I guess if I wasn't so busy building your guns I'd have time to chase him for the freezer!!! Just kidding. Must be that I'm too lazy to walk down there and toss a hook out...
